ARCHIE!!! First, last and always... I loved Hornblower when I read the books years and years ago, but I fell in love with the sidekick in the films! Hope you come back sometime to see this, Cannonfire! I enjoy both boards - here and Horatians. I wish some more folks would come round here, though. It used to be a real kickin' place, but now it's like one of those western towns, with the tumbleweed blowin' down the mainstreet! Oh well, so long as there are a handful of us, I suppose it's still a message-board! PTP |

Wow. Where IS everyone?!?? Sorry Cannonfire but most of the regular posters spend most of their time over at www.horatians.org. I hate to pimp horatians, but everyone seems to have moved on and only a few of us still frequent these boards, although probably not often enough.  I always feel bad because new posters like you probably get discouraged by the lack of response and leave and I hate to have any HH fan miss all the fun. And boy, do we have fun. LOL!! sotl *feeling very guilty*

Yes, these threads are very fun. I absolutely love Bush, but I also love Horatio and Pellew (of course!). I can't really say who is my ultimate favorite... it is very tough. Bush all the way! he is my favorite character in both the movies and the books. he is so very good, and i'm sure that you will only grow to love Bush more as you read the books, as i did. he is so giving of himself and understanding of Hornblower that it is difficult not to grow attatched to him. threads like this are always fun. Yes, well, we all love Horatio... that goes without saying. But I must say I love Bush and Pellew. Aside from Hornblower, they are my favorites.

Welcome to the boards cannonfire, another BushBabe is always welcome... or anybody else for that manner.
You have nothing to worry about your head, the folks around here are all very nice and well mannered. And don't worry about asking something that has already been asked, we are always happy to revisit any subject, specially if it has something to do with a growly, sexy Lt. *thud!*
As you could probably already tell, I like Mr. Bush best, followed a close second by Pellew and Major Edrington. I think Paul McGann's sexy portrayal of Mr. Bush is what did it for me, although I do like book!Bush, but since I watched the movies first, I may have been influenced.

Okay... I am new here so don't bite my head off if anyone has already posted a thread like this...
I was just wondering who you like the most (besides Horatio, of course). Parsonaly, I rather like Mr. Bush. I'm not entirely sure why... perhaps it is his commanding stature, and the way he yells orders ("FIRE!!!")...I am of course talking about the movie characters, but feel free to tell us about a strictly book character if you wish.
