Anjie, Please taunting and bullying is NOT an OPTION for MURDER. You think that in the state of mind she was in "battered woman syndrome" is excuse enough to do what she did. Gee it makes me wonder what happened to you? What ever it is GET OVER IT! Betty B. is nothing but a clod blooded killer and she could care less for her children. There have been WORSE cases of battered wife syndrome and MOTHERS have thought of thier CHILDREN before commiting a hainus act like this! HURTING her OWN babys! BETTY B. IS AN ALL OUT PSYCOPATH! SHE LOVES NO ONE! HOUSEWIFE/HOOKER! Oh you say poor betty verbal assaults and bullying caused this from dan & linda. Do you read yourself can you see what you are writing? Is this shedding some light on your own life? Mabe you can MOVE ON. Stop foucusing on Dan and Linda you sound just like betty right before she murdered two innocent people. Can you see it now? Read you.

Somewhere along the line Betty Broderick lost touch with reality. That sentence explains a lot. Did Betty plan those murders? In my opinion, she went to Dan and Linda's home with one thing on her mind - killing them. Was it with a sane, rational mind? I very much doubt it. I don't think Betty went from 'sane and rational' to 'out of touch with reality' overnight. She had plenty of help along the way, thanks to Dan and Linda's taunting and bullying.

Somewhere along the line Betty Broderick lost touch with reality. Whether that was caused by the alleged abuse by her husband or whether it was caused by some other event or events in her life, the fact is that she murdered two people, in their sleep, and did so with no remorse. She apparently feels justified, to this very day. She is where she belongs and I hope, for the sake of her children if not the public, that she is never granted parole. How she could leave the messages on her ex-husband's machine, so that her children could hear them, is something that haunts me. Her youngest boy's anguished plea to her to stop leaving them is heartbreaking. I hope these children have received counseling, because boy, do they need it. I do think that she planned these killings...she had to. She chose to do it in the middle of the night when chances are she would not be seen. She also chose to do it when they would be asleep and therefore not be in a position to try to stop her or to fight back. Cowardly is the only word I can describe in regard to Betty's planning of her horrific act. She should never be allowed freedom...she is, after all, a serial murderess. She killed more than one person and in all reality, I am sure she killed so much more than her childrens' father...she killed their idealism, their security, and also their mother. She made them orphans even though she lives...I know they can never trust her or be comfortable with her...after all, she killed their father and for all intents and purposes herself. I feel so for these children. God bless them and I leave it to God to deal with her.

Anjie, WOW you seem yo have issues of your own! I take it you have suffered at the hands of an abuser sometime in your life? You sound so angry. So hurt! What ever happened to you must have been bad,Huh? Actually, I have not been abused, nor am I angry. I can see why you are a Betty B. supporter and I can also see why you are HAPPY that linda & Dan are DEAD. I am a supporter of abused women. I do not know Betty. From what I've read of her, she most definitely was a severely abused woman. I have NEVER stated that I was happy that Dan and Linda are dead. What I have stated is that I am not saddened by their deaths. I feel no sympathy for either of them. I stand by my belief that they were cruel, selfish, deplorable people. You wrote, "that Betty is not the only person who reacted by killing her abusers, nor will she be the last". I did not write that. However, it is true. She wasn't the first abused woman to kill her abusers, and she won't be the last. These murders can be prevented if the abusers - emotional or physical - would stop abusing, and treat their victims as they should - with respect and fairness.

Yes, she did "lose it" - thanks to the provocation by Dan and Linda. They couldn't be happy with just having each other. They had to keep tormenting Betty - her appearance (fat, old, wrinkled); the (legal?) financial settlement Dan maneuvered, where Betty got next to nothing, etc., etc., etc. I feel sad for most murder victims, but not these two deplorable people. However, one should never torment, ridicule, make fun of, or bully another, either. They were two miserable excuses for people. However, people should think twice before they torment/verbally abuse someone else. It's not possible to predict the "breaking point" of a victim of emotional bullying, or the way he may react. Betty is not the only person who reacted by killing her abusers, nor will she be the last. Anjie, WOW you seem yo have issues of your own! I can see why you are a Betty B. supporter and I can also see why you are HAPPY that linda & Dan are DEAD. Can I ask you how long have you been having these feelings? Because look at what Betty did and look where she ended up. Then again you are happy that Linda & Dan are where THEY are. You wrote, "that Betty is not the only person who reacted by killing her abusers, nor will she be the last". Does this mean that you would or can or feel like MURDERING someone? Anjie, Verbal Abuse is one thing and yes it is awful but, IT IS UP TO YOU AS A "RATIONAL HUMAN" NOT TO MURDER over name calling! I see you have a problem with that. (name calling) is an issue 4 U. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT YOU NEED SOME LOVE IN YOUR LIFE! LIKE TRY LOVING YOURSELF FIRST! You need to get over what ever it is that has made you this way. Because the Betty B. way does not work FOR ANYONE! It is sad/frustrating to hear women like you! MOVE ON MAN! Get over your SELF-PITTY!

There were many better ways to handle the entire situation from day 1, from all the parties involved. Dan and Linda should also have sought psychological treatment, but none of them did so it just kept piling on until the events that followed.

She killed someone it is not right to kill under no circumstances! I agree. Obviously, the courts do, too, since Betty is paying the price for her crime. She is serving her time in prison. However, one should never torment, ridicule, make fun of, or bully another, either.

Why are people trying to make what she did justifiable? Ok he left her, he used her, so that makes it right to take a person's life. What if it was your brother or a loved one? I felt sorry for her yes he left and she was torn, but move on and let go. She killed someone it is not right to kill under no circumstances! She was wrong point blank. Do you know how many women get left by their husbands for another woman, and how many woman are used by men? SO what she is wrong and I don't feel sorry for her her killing him made her look so weak! She let Dan win by killing him, she showed him she was bitter. My thing is never let a person that what they have done is getting to you.I know it is eaiser said than done, but hey it is life, men(wommen) come and go get another one. She did not care about her children, she sucks as a parent. There is no way I would of killed my husband and left my children without one,but two parents. I would have milked him for his money and lived the fabulous life with a new man (money). She only cared about herself. He was a good father, no matter what he done to her and now her children are left without a mother or a father. Betty sucks

Life is tough and there are better ways of coping than murder. Financial loss and name calling do not justify murder. Yes, life can be tough, and murder is never the solution to a problem - financial or otherwise. However, people should think twice before they torment/verbally abuse someone else. If your logic were acceptable every playground and workplace in North America would be a war zone. Life is tough and there are better ways of coping than murder. Financial loss and name calling do not justify murder.

Yea, Betty Broderick is whacked. You can't kill people because they treat you poorly. There was so many better ways to handle that situation. She could have moved away, she could have cut all ties, she could have done anything that was not murder. I've been mad and hurt and have never considered murdering anyone. She should have seeked psychological treatment when she had manifestations of thoughts of murder. She just completely lost it.

Betty without doubt planned and carried out the murder on her ex and his wife. She couldn't let go of a man who wasnt interested in her anymore. Regardless the reason she had no right to take 2 lives, death would have been justice...but i believe life is far more painful for a murderer to know what she has done and live with it. Also she said she went to their home to commit suicide...well the muderer had the gun pointed in the wrong direction.

I do not admire Dan & Linda, I have been affected by similar circumstances, but I do not condone murder. I don't support capital punishment either, but if a man had committed this crime he would be sitting on death row. I don't condone murder, nor do I support capital punishment. We do agree on something. I have stated many times that I wish Betty had not killed Dan and Linda. However, I feel that they taunted, tormented, and made an ass of Betty - calling her fat, old, ugly. Worst of all, was the horrific financial settlement Dan manipulated. I believe that Betty was finally pushed over the edge, thanks to the years of emotional abuse by Dan and Linda she endured. They were miserable, evil people. I feel no sympathy for either of them.
