I grew up in Pensacola, living there from 1945 (age 6 weeks) to 1966 when I went in the army until 1970 when I returned to Pensacola and graduated from University of West Florida in 1973. I moved to South Florida, but returned to the Pensacola area as the business manager of the Santa Rosa County Mental Health Facility in 1976. I went back in the army in 1978. From 1970 until 1978, I regularly visited Trader Jon's. He was a nice guy and treated me well as did all the strippers, exotic and topless dancers, and waitresses who worked there. Yes, there were bare-breasted women at Trader's. Anybody who says otherwise has never been there. I used to sit in the first barber chair at the bar, the one on the right near the door with all the business cards, and the piece of macrame I gave Trader hung in the fish net above that chair.

In 1983 Trader Jon's was filled with aircraft memorabilia, signed photographs of nearly every Blue Angels team, and strippers.

During what era did you visit Trader Jon's. It was a popular part of a long past era when it was a more accepted idea.

No strippers at Trader Jon's

I'm liking the movie so far, but as a native Pensacolian, I'm offended by the implication that Trader Jon's was a strip club. It was a bar full of aviation memorabilia popular with Navy guys. It closed after Trader Jon himself passed away and the building that housed it was destroyed last year by Hurricane Ivan.
