I would vote for John McCain, but he is too honest to get in the running. The Rothchild's, Haliburton and others could not control him.

The neocons are more rabid than conservative. They are the powerful rich taking over our country and probably have their eyes on the rest of the world.

I could not agree more. It is so unfortunate to me that a man of such integrity has such an uphill battle to be President. What more can you ask for in a politician? I am not sure what you mean by "neo cons call themselves conservatives and now control the party." Please explain.

while it is true that mccain would do well in an election, he will never get the nomination in his party. goldwater and t.r. if they were alive today would not either. as an old fashioned conservative, it troubles me that these neo cons call themselves conservatives and now control the party.

I am a liberal who is not a huge fan of our current president. I read McCain's book a few years ago and was truly impressed with the portrayl of him in the A & E movie. I have read all of the posts and have a few comments. First of all, it is not worth anyones time to even bother to reply to the truly ignorant - we won't change their minds. Secondly, as a liberal, I would vote for McCain in a second and hope he campaigns in 2008...it is time for an honest politician. Finally - as a 29 year old, 8th grade American History teacher...I salute all veterans for their committment and dedication (even when our government didn't necessarily support your effort in Vietnam). Cheers
