This movie was a disservice to NPS and all wildland firefighters

I realize the point was to 'entertain', but the movie dishonored the thousands of professional wildland firefighters who are at this very minute risking their very lives trying to protect lives and property from many large and dangerous fires burning across the west--sixteen major blazes in Idaho alone. I know of 7 firefighters who have died in the past month and a half, and none of them was doing anything as foolish or stupid as this show portrayed. The movie portrayed the firefighters as unintelligent buffoons who didn't know the first thing about fighting fire. The implausible climax (using 55-gal drums of flammable fuel to create an explosion to 'suck the oxygen' away from a massive flaming front) was not an heroic act, but a deadly and extremely foolish one. Next time you or any other 'entertainment' company chooses to portray firefighting on screen, you should find one of the many talented firefighter/writers (there are many books on wildland firefighting to choose from) to at least consult with and guide the hands of the talentless hacks hired to write the script. I could go on, and on, but I'm too embarrassed to admit I actually watched this farce through to the end. (Oops, I just did. Most of my coworkers turned it off when they realized what a piece of trash it was.) You need to consult with folks who know what they're talking about, and put the garbage in the trash where it belongs. The National Park Service should sue A&E for defamation. Its a sure sign they must have read the script since they wouldn't allow you anything but the name "Yellowstone National Park" in the film. If I were Rocky Barker, I'd be in hiding now... I wouldn't want to ever see my name associated with this dreck.
