dropkickgirl- Well I've said this before. After I finish watching Mindfreak on Wednesday nights - I CAN'T SLEEP! It takes me a looooong time to settle down. I can't stop thinking about "how the hell did he do that?". So at least I know I'm not alone...

freakgirl- I have seen the Supernatural sequence with his sawing in half. Amazing stuff! It sounds silly and I am a somewhat grown woman, but I spend time after 2hours of Mindfreak thinking, trying to figure out how he does it...then I just get lazy and say, "Okay, whatever, he's gifted. I'm done!" LOL

dropkickgirl - The sawing of himself, he's done that before. I have the Supernatural DVD. The sawing of himself in half is from his stage performance and that was included in Supernatural which was a Halloween Special he did in 2003. Great DVD if you have it. I still love that fence thing though. You're right, how the hell did he do that? First of all to see him lying so perfectly on the spokes of the fence, then making himself look like he's hurt. I guess if he was hurt there would be blood. Ya think? Brilliant! Love it when he looks at the camera and laughs. Makes me laugh right along with him.

For some reason, I enjoy the fence impaling thing to the point where I start to laugh when he's "moaning in pain" and saying, "Help me". It's such a great illusion. Now the woman in half thing we know she's been on tv for being born with only half of her body, but it still looks great, amazing illusion. Sawing himself in half is another incrediable illusion! It really messes with your head.

After watching the in half episode again, I agree with you. I think that there were two people used in the stunt. To me I think the two women that were used looked alike to a degree, but definitely were two different people. I love the fence thing he does in that episode. LOVE IT. I have no idea how he does it. I mean to be put up there in the first place and to be able to stay there balanced - that in itself is something. But then to have him look like he's impaling himself is beyond cool. It looks for all the world that he's impaled. But then you figure you see no blood. So again, the mighty illusionist strikes again. Love it when he looks at the camera and laughs.

I think it was fake too. I noticed the same hollowness as you did connie. Also when the "knocked" on her body it was a solid sound. When he was levitating up on the chair, I think he may have had a few actors or something because, that type of levitation was the one where he took his foot out of his pants. And there was a guy who was sitting horizontal from him and could see everything.

I also caught it when 'she' was pulled apart, his hand went down on the lower half(at the top)...and you could see it 'went down' like it was hollow or something...like a piece of rubber. So I do think the bottom half was fake. I didn't notice the lengths of her arms though...dang!

If you dont allready know how he does this it is simple. If you look at the girl hel lays on the bench notice the length of her arms. they almost reach the bench. if you keep watching they go to a new seen and her arms are half way down the bench so they chhanged people with a actual person that is cut in half and they just use robotic feet

I have a theory...with the secret caberet episode and the newspaper....I think he had a whole one on top of the ripped peices, and when he flipped the whole news paper down the others flew on the floor. I know that would require paid actors, but i dunno if you look at his fingers and his hand placements, that theory sounds right. Just a thought....

Thought we'd talk about something different. They'll be re-running the in half episode this coming Wednesday. Did everyone see it the first time around? Comments? That was one episode that so intense, I had trouble sleeping after it was over.

I just loved that! Like Connie, I like those kinds of things better than the big death-defying stunts. He's just so fun and adorable when he works the crowds like that. He could steal MY watch anytime!
