I am a WWII veteran and I would love to see and hear the programs that you are now showing relative to the war BUT, some person has decided that a musical background should prevail rather than the story. I am not the only vet who cannot hear the program because of the music. What function is it designed to do other than to blank out what is being said? It is completely unnecessary. Other channels carry documentaries which are easily understood without the aid of a distracting musical background. At 80 yrs my hearing is not as acute as the person preparing the documentary.
