I will say that I disagree with Bob W and his comments about what he terms 'dumb' yanks as they are quite the opposite in my view. I have friends that are American and they are some of the nicest people around. Anyone that trashes the US people, should be taught not to disrespect such fine people. As for the movie, I thought that Tom Selleck did an excellent job of acting as Ike Eisenhower as it is truly one of his best characters since he played Thomas Magnum on Magnum PI years ago.

Back in the 40s the US was fighting to free Europe.
Now theyre fighting in Iraq for what?
and you Yanks always say "if it wasnt for America, Europeans would be speaking German today".
why do people say that? Our grandparents didnt fight and die 60 years ago in a strange land, just so Americans could brag "we rescued Europe".
those men didnt want fame and fortune. they were doing their jobs and sacrificing their lives so other people could live in freedom.

Well my friend, I guess you do seem to have a problem with "US Yanks", so I ask of you 2 questions.
1) Are you British?
