I believe that Charlotte Bronte only hints at the notion that Rochester is the father of Adele, yet I believe that it is true.

Hello, I've never been to this specific board before, so again 'hello'. I know that you've already recieved an answer to this question so I'd just like to tell you that I thought that Jane Eyre was an excellent book; it's one of my favorites! I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. Sincerely, Fan Of Forester P.S. Forester is my favorite author, or rather, he's tied with William Goldman-The Princess Bride P.P.S. Is the movie Jane...any good? I've never seen it.

Hi there! glad that you liked jane eyre so much. The book is better and what movie version did you see? I am a Jane Eyre fan ever since college...about Adele, Mr. Rochester is not sure whether she is her daughter. Her mother, Celine Varens (an opera dancer) was said to be having an affair with another man, at the same time she was having an affair with rochester. Edward could hardly figure out but still kept her and treated her as her daughter till the end, of course with the help of the kind-hearted, Jane Eyre.

We are watching the moving in my English Literature class. I am very captivated by this movie. I plan on reading and purchasing the book very soon. However, others in my class do not feel the same, so I have turned here for discussion. I would like to discuss Adele. (I have not seen the end of the movie, so if my question is answered, just tell me to finish the movie). Is Adele Edward Rodchester's daughter? I know it was said that he was certain, but still not sure. Do we ever find out. Until Then, magi
