just wanted to tell 13ny that he's right. the movie was totally not even close to the real thing, i would think a company as big as a&e would get there facts straight, they made kids from bath beach look spineless cause of one rat. he wasnt even from bath beach

One thing is sadly true, Those awesome days will never come back again to SoBe. The move its ok, most of the characters were change definitely, For many people that knew cris, He was just a regular great guy who will give you drinks in the vip and t-shirts, I remember the t-shirts with liquid on the chest which i wanted to preserve forever but some1 stole it from me, I think my friend Alex still has it. Anyways, The partner that appears in the movie(Olivia)with Short hair. I'm guessing is Ingrid Caseres, and the one next to him while getting to liquid the first time should be Sofia vergara, although I'm not sure what was her status with cris.

Maybe one day you'll see a movie version I'm writing. cheers.3/15/2007 2:19PM

I AGREE WITH ALL YOU SAID. TOO MUCH SOAP OPERA FOR ME. SOUTH BEACH IS A BABY DISNEYLAND NOW. AND THE LIFE HAS BEEN SUCKED OUT OF IT BY THE REAL CRIME LORDS... THE CORPORATE RAIDERS WHO BUILD AND BUILD AND RUIN WHAT WAS ONCE EDEN.

This show sucked! Not only did it portray its characters in the incorrect light but it wasnt even consistant with the real story. Chris wasnt arrested in Miami, there wasnt a police chase...he surrendered thru his attorney. Imagine how many other things were incorrect. They should just leave him alone and let him live his life. And no South Beach hasnt been the same since he left. His legacy will live in the stories told by all those who were there and I am sure the E channel with help also.

I'm very curious to see how this movie portrays the hay days of South Beach. We haven't been the same since Liquid. That was a home away from home, and it is a bit odd that the characters names are changed, wonder who sold the story. Looks like the detective mentioned got something for his advising on the film.
I'm eager to watch it tomorrow and see how biased or not the film is.

Unfortunately, SoBe has never been the same. After the fall of Liquid, the breeders invaded, thus replacing the the queens on rollerblades with multiple child strollers.

We lost the music, madness, and family in our fruitopia for high rises and toddlers. Now look what we are in Miami Beach- just another overgrown, over populated city.

Can't wait to watch tomorrow and see what rings true.

Donnie Wahlberg and Jason Gedrick star in the A&E Original Movie KINGS OF SOUTH BEACH, premiering on Monday, March 12 at 9pm EST/PST.
Part Donnie Brasco and part Scarface, from the writer of Goodfellas and Casino Nick Pileggi, the film is based upon the true story of the club promoter who reinvented South Beach as a nightlife mecca.

The Grosso-Jacobson production also stars Nadine Velazquez, Ricardo Chavira and features a special guest appearance by Steven Bauer.
