"We are All Human" American Justice/ The Central Park Violation It was interesting to see the American Justice episode of crime about the Central Park violation. I would like to see more episodes displaying the facts that the civil justice system can be fallible and mortal, just like everyone else. That was a good move. -- Edited by Jonthony at 05/10/2009 1:22 PM PDT

I overheard someone saying that anyone who was corrupt wearing a military uniform should be tried for treason.... those sorts of tribunals don't usually work out to well for the accused.

Bad Cops: Cause and Effect

Investigation Reports Crime Channel 04032009 “Bad Cops: Cause and Effect” I kind of understand how some cops are corrupted. They are humans like everybody, but only in uniforms. Any man can be tempted to do wrong. Just as corruption exists in every community, church or culture, such corruption exists in the Police Dept. Now one might say, “But they are the lawmen?” True, but they are only humans in military uniforms just as a clergy or businessmen are humans in a robe or suit. I also sympathize with their contention of seeing corruption above their rank, and opposition to be tempted on the streets below the rank. These guys are tempted from both sides of the law. Until now, I never understood why black men were killing each other in the hood where I grew up, or why gang-banging persist to exist. I had my perception that perhaps some cops were corrupt enough to work with gang-bangers, or some permitted drug trafficking to exist, but after this show, now I see that gang warfare is just another business in America. Perhaps, it should be mandatory, that cops believe in some sort of spiritual higher power (God, etc. other than a man in a suit with money, clergy, or a commander). Then they would have a standard within to abide and try to fight temptation; And I don’t mean the typical Christian standard: Go to a congregation, have a family, love the America flag and have a bumper sticker that speaks for them, saying “Jesus is Lord”. -- Edited by Jonthony at 04/04/2009 5:00 PM PDT -- Edited by Jonthony at 04/04/2009 5:01 PM PDT
