"What now?" As a delicious Fourth Lieutenant once said. It's all in a different place and the discussions have been split up and put in a different order. I'm still able to post at the moment, though... Fmu Message was edited by Farmoreuncertain at Feb 24, 2006 6:49 AM

Thanks for the update A and E. Just one thought though.. If everyone's username is going to be invalid, doesn't that make things a bit confusing?? Sheesh

You'll need to register before you try and log in, and give an email address for your activation email to be sent to. Keep trying! Looking forward to seeing you there! Fmu

Sorry, FMU, I tried but could not work out how to login and thanks to Wirral Borough Council's generosity in cutting down our free computer time, I have run out of time BUT nothing daunted (you know me) I will try again as soon as I can.

Ohyesitis! *waves frantically* I'm really glad to see you here. You need to go here http://boards.aetv.com/forum.jspa?forumID=500000025 to find the post with the links in it. But as it stands the club is only open to those in the USA and Canada. Also, the form requires you to give your address and I think that will put a lot of people off. I certainly wouldn't be happy about it, even if I were eligible to join. Come over and join us at Horatians, ohyesitis! http://www.horatians.org It's a bit different to this board, but you'll get used to it and most of the people you'll have met in Portsmouth hang out there. I'll email you when I can. Real life is busy, and I'm currently fighting a fluey cold. Fmu

The message said click on the following links but did not put any links on! As Terry Wogan would say, "Is it me?"

I was looking at your form to register with the club. It says you have to be from the US or Canada to join. Is that right? It counts me out. Fmu

Thanks for letting us know about the changes. I'll be sure to join the A&E Club so that I can continue to participate here on the Hornblower boards. I'm delighted to hear that you're supportive of the communities here, too--perhaps in that spirit you might be willing to provide the loyal fans of one of your Emmy-award winning original series with a little bit of information. We've heard rumors and noticed that the Hornblower show's home page is no longer up so we have an idea of what your plans for the series might be, but we haven't had any direct word from the network itself. Any news as to the future of the Hornblower series would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks for these discussion boards! -uHf -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "D@mn it, man," said Hornblower, "would anyone out of Bedlam say a thing like that--far less write it?" --Hornblower and the Atropos

Dear AETV.com Community Members, You may have noticed some changes on the AETV.com Discussion Boards recently. This is because we are in the process of upgrading our boards with a new look, new forums, and new features! During this transition period, you will still be able to read and post on the boards as usual by logging in with your current Username and Password. However, please note that as of February 15, 2006, your current Username and Password will become invalid, and you will need to become a registered A&E Club member to log in to the boards. Your A&E Club member account will be your passport to all current and future advanced features of the AETV.com website

Is it me? I find real life confusing enough without all this extra confusion. Yours, Confused, I think ...

>>If someone new's looking to discuss Hornblower, in other words, they're gonna have to really dig to find these boards. It's worse for the Columbo board. Their location has been changed completely and I think their discussions have now been split between their Fan Board and the Share Your Thoughts one, which is even more confusing...

If > someone new's looking to discuss Hornblower, in other > words, they're gonna have to really dig to find these > boards. > > -uHf Maybe that's the whole idea... (Dammit, where's the 'dry' emoticon we know and love when you need him? I just need him here! (I think he lives over the web on Horatians...) And come to think of it, almost all the emoticons here are the chirpy, cheery kind, and the mood around lately, with no new films in the pipeline, is anything but...! Grrr! PTP

>And there are some forums missing? I'm completely > befuzzled now. Think I'm getting a migraine, > actually... I haven't seen any forums missing (but I haven't really looked for them). The missing page that I was referring to was the one with the flash introduction and music, with all the links to the "Fan Page", "Discussion Boards", "Timeline", "Cast and Crew Interviews", "Horatio Shop", etc. scrolling on the right--which is interesting to me because the top Google link to A&E for Hornblower points to that page rather than to any of the discussion forums. If someone new's looking to discuss Hornblower, in other words, they're gonna have to really dig to find these boards. -uHf -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "D@mn it, man," said Hornblower, "would anyone out of Bedlam say a thing like that--far less write it?" --Hornblower and the Atropos Message was edited by usHHfan at Jan 20, 2006 3:06 PM

It's back to black and blue... at least, the threads are, with just the orange left at the very top. And there are some forums missing? I'm completely befuzzled now. Think I'm getting a migraine, actually... Fmu
