HUK ROCKED!!!! Massive 'thank you's' and 'Way to Go's' to Captain PTP and her band of stalwarts who put this on for us! It was definitely a party to be remembered! I'm still reveling in the memories of the Victory's broadside and the fabulous costume dinner, to say nothing of the great time watching the movies with folks who 'get it'. There's nothin' like a Hornblower convention! :D -uHf -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "D@mn it, man," said Hornblower, "would anyone out of Bedlam say a thing like that--far less write it?" --Hornblower and the Atropos

Good to see you sotl! Real life has a nasty habit of demanding your attention after you've been away having fun, certainly! The photos are great - such fun we had! Cheers, Poll Love like a hobbit

I finally had some time to come over and visit. After the lovely time I had with you all, I had tons of work waiting for me when I got back home. I want to add my thanks to the Captain and crew for such a special time in Portsmouth. It was due to all your efforts that everyone enjoyed themselves so much. Hi Liz, it is good to see you on the boards and please thank his Lordship for being so tolerant of our silliness and knicker waving all weekend long. :D I have put up some of my pictures over at the horatians gallery. Here is the link to everyone's pictures: http://www.horatians.org/gallery/huk2005 Enjoy!!

You're right, it has been quiet; I am as guilty as anyone of not visiting as often as I used to. The format of the boards has something to do with that, I believe. However, I do think it's important to keep this board at least ticking over, so A&E (who might not visit other fan sites - their loss!!)can see that there are still fans out there who want more Hornblower! Hey, I am so envious of your great time in England!! One day, I swear, I'll make it to London and Wales and experience good old England.... Ps. Where did everybody go? It's been so quiet on the boards lately... Margaret

Hi Liz! It's lovely to see your name on the boards again! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and we have you in our august company once more! I'm finding it terribly hard to come back down to earth. I feel stunned that it's all over... As Janet says, it really was a privilege to sail with such a wonderful crew! Please stay with us now. You and Lord Murrdoggan are indispensable members of the ship's company! Loadsa luv, Ruth x

There's the gallery on Horatians; There are two HUK albums there already to view, from Roz and Akuma. Or you could set up an album for HUK in Photobucket and give people a password so they could view it. Looking forward to more photos! Cheers, Poll Love like a hobbit

Ok, Liz, I know who you are now! I know the feeling of not having everyone sorted out - I was meeting most people for the first time and my brain went into overload. I was the rat... Fmu

Williamsburg, Virginia - 12 to 16 October. Should be a great experience - hope you can make it! Love the sound of Basset Hound 'Waddles' - very appropriate! Cheers, Poll Love like a hobbit

Ooooh, you lucky, lucky dogs. It sounds like such a great time. I've been to several Basset Hound "Waddles" but this must take the cake. Hoping to get to the one down South next year. Julie
