I like the idea of Crooked House--it is one of my favorites and I don't recall discussing it on this group.

I am not sure whether there are any fall-themed ones, but I was thinking you all might like to read one of the Midsomer Murder books. I will check some our and see whether there is an appropriate one.

It's very nice of you to think of us and think up all of these book selections....it's exciting to think ahead and to see how you've built up things like this..Ilove thinking about the fall and getting cozy with a good book with you all...

Fall Book Selection Commences.

Mart, that sounds good. Maybe an A.C. autumn cozy for Sept. and a witchy or Halloweenie one for Oct. On a personal note: I'm not big on vampire books but if you all wanted to go that way, I'd be a sport and come along. Just a thought.

Here's a few I sleuthed out. See whatcha think about adding them to the list: The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Catherine Howe; Witch by Barbara Michaels; Death of A Witch by M.C. Beaton; I, Tituba, Black Witch of Salem; A Harvest of Bones by Yasmine Galenorm (spl); The Death Ship of Dartmouth, Michael Jacks.

There's some good ones out thar, PI's. Let's see whatcha got. ;)

Christie's "Crooked House" is set in autumn. One of Christie's very-dysfunctional-family stories, with an amateur detective not unlike Hastings.

It'll Soon Be That Time! Fall Book Selection Commences.

Happy August! A wonderful summer month to enjoy and perhaps to start work on our fall mystery lineup. What do you say, PI's!? Maybe we can make one selection for Sept. and one for Oct.? Something with fall themes?

Well, we've a full month to work on our choices so if you all agree, maybe we can start posting interesting titles and then vote on them? Most votes win.

How about a cutoff of Aug. 15th so we have two weeks to choose and two, to obtain our books.

I saw a new Rhys Bowen mystery but not sure if it was fall themed. Then there's a fairly new release that's to do w/an alleged witch of Salem. (Hardcover, brown & green). I'll get the titles (correct...lol) and post them.

Are there any Christies that we haven't tackled that you'd all like to read? Harley Quinn or some such. They might not nec. be autumed themed but A.C. did put out material that made for some cozy, fall reading.

Well, fire away, PI's. Post your picks. I'm looking forward to reading your choices.
