Last night in my area the show was aired "Deadly Party" and "Wrong Turn." Both were senseless crimes and I continue to shake my head at the way people just take someone else's life. But I really wanted to comment on the mother of the accused in the Deadly Party segment. I applaud her for standing up and making her son tell the truth. She hugged him and gave him love but at the same time, she was not playing. The Detective was very cleaver for stepping back and allowing her to be a mother in her way of getting to the truth. Last nights episode was hard for me for some reason. But I absolutely love this show.

The show was on A&E tonight Dec 7/8 (midnight) I have watched the show before but never took an interest in a story like I did with the story of Ronald Gentile's murder. Probably because like him i am a divorced father from Illinois but also because of the disgusting randomness of the crime. Why couldnt that little s.o.a.b. just rob him? Can i assume that the trial for Rolle hasnt taken place yet? Any update on this story is appreciated...way to go Miami Homicide Detectives!!! Kevin, Illinois

Okay, thanks. Yeah, I was just wondering, because in that episode it first filmed him picking up his daughter from the spelling bee, AND THEN responding to that homicide. So, having said that, I thought that they get followed by cameras all day? Anyways, thanks for explaining.[/color] :-

Actually the spelling bee was a few months before that episode, he was just talking about it when he picked her up from school. They (one of the film crew) were with him at that time to get some film footage of his daughter's. As for the phone - it is always ringing, a new case, an old case, someone elses case, etc. etc. etc.

Oh....yeah, I was just wondering....cause in this one episode, they filmed Sgt. Tony Mullins while he was picking up his daughter from a spelling bee....and moments after (like 2 min right after his daughter got into the car), his phone goes off, and responds to a homicide....

So....based on that episode, I was just wondering if the detectives get followed (filmed) on camera everyday, even when they're not on the job, and doing other things?

I remember reading somewhere that the film crew is constantly following the homicide detectives who are next in line to investigate the next murder. SO I believe the producers know which homicide detectives to film to catch these moments of them getting the call.

Quoting from Det. Freddy Ponce:

"You may see me in the background making faces at Det. Bosh or I'll be behind the camera throwing papers at him to make him laugh at the camera."

Hi Det. Freddy Ponce,

You're so mean to Det. Bosch lol....but of course, I mean that in a good and teasing way. :) My name is Bonnie, btw, and I'm from Canada. And "The First 48" is my favorite show of all time.

______________

Quoting from Det. Rick Martinez:

"I will make sure that Bosch keeps up the drama for everyone."

Hi Det. Martinez,

How are you doing? I imagine that work for you is hella busy as usual!!! Anyways, I can't wait for episode 55 on Thurs., Nov. 30, 2006.

Well, to sum up everything, Miami is still my fave homicide team. BTW, I was just wondering. Are you guys around cameras everyday, then? Cause with some other episodes I watched, the detective is being filmed in his car, and then his phone rings and responds to an (of course) unexpected homicide.

I'm not really sure how to explain my question, but what I mean is that, when you guys are not on the job, how do the scenes with the detectives AT HOME get filmed anyway? That's what I'm confused about.

If you have an answer, that would be great. Thanks for everything, and keep up the good work! Holla for me to the whole Miami crew, and tell them that I say "Hi."

- Bonnie

Miami Homicide MANHUNT is on for the Miami Tourist Killer

Brandon Rolle shot and killed Mr Ronald Gentile. Mr.Gentile was visiting his son for his 17th birthday from Chicago while he waited for his son to get out of work and planning to have dinner with his son and friends to celebrate. Mr Gentile got lost and stopped someone to ask for directions. Instead, he was robbed, shot and killed.

Google, Brandon Rolle. you should find his picture in there somewhere.

"We will not Stop" until we bring this punk to justice. If anyone has any info, contact Det. Castellanos he's in team Six.

You know what say whatever you wish to say. You know what I'm through with the subject and all of your snide remarks. Because at the end of the day. What you think means nothing to me. Say what you will Axx. I'm tired of all of your drama. Like I said before you mean nothing to me; Because you say the same thing over and over and over again. From now on the ignore button is on.

At a boy Freddy!! It's Rick talking back at you!I was getting tired of the the same put downs. This is about the show and the cases and the people who have an interest in being involved in a REAL show about Homicides. Let's get back on track and talk about these things again. A&E has made it easy to talk to the people that they see on TV in a very personal way. I myself don't want to be on this forum if it gets trashy. I enjoy chatting with the fans whenever I get a break and putting my two cents in. By the way, Freddy is right about the people that put this show together. They put in the same amount of hours that we do and then some so that people can have something to look forward to on Thursdays. Folks, keep watching and keep it real on here. Freddy is right about this season. It's got alot of good cases so be patient and stay tuned. I will make sure that Bosch keeps up the drama for everyone.

Very cool that you are posting Det. Ponce.

I have to admit that Det. Bosch makes me laugh a LOT. Most of the detectives make me smile though - you all seem really nice and down-to-earth. It must be a relief to have that kind of atmosphere of friendship after working so long and hard on your cases.

Those cameramen and editors do a wonderful job. I don't mind watching on TV but I don't know if I could handle filming the victims. Also, please thank the editors for me - no offense but bathroom noises from the Miami PD sounds kind of gross. :-p

I don't know what to do about crime. I think that education is important. If people have choices, they are less likely to do something because they are desperate. I also think that a stable home life is important. It doesn't matter who is at home with these young kids as long as there is somebody there that loves and cares about them. Also, it is important to make sure that children know that there are consequences for their bad actions. So many parents make excuses for their children when they should be disciplining their children so that children have respect for themselves and the people around them.

oops - sorry I rambled.

Oh! One more thing - I think that it is important to let America see that being bilingual is a GOOD thing. I would love to see more interaction in Spanish.

Have a happy evening and please thank all of the other detectives for all of their hard work!
