I'm not sure it's racial disparity so much as the cities they tape the show in, but it equals the same thing. Ends up being 99% blacks and Hispanics being shown as criminals and murders. We all know whites are criminals too -- especially rapists and serial killers AND murders.
How about First 48 taping in some other cities??? Maybe like other comments have said -- white establishment that writes and runs show makes decisions where to tape and what perps make it on show. Interesting that almost ALL are black and Hispanic.
Same as on TV news and network news and in newspaper.

I've heard these stories before. Always blame other people instead of taking responsibility for your own actions. Will people have "victim" printed on your forehead for their whole life.
Here in London everyone blames the police too, but figures show that there are the same amount of routine stops for white people. Once again - It's racism in the force - blah blah blah
I don't know where you got that information about Iraq. You'll find the countries with the highest Murder rates is Columbia, South Africa and Jamaica.
What's the race ratio in US prisons? Genuine question (I don't know)

These statistics are so HIGH because
1. Cops are act blind when a WHITE PERSON commit a crime.
2. White people are behind the numbers.
I thought about doing an experiment.
Placing 4 whites in a car and speed. The place 4 blacks in that same car. Who will get pulled over first? As well as harrassed? Car checked and etc.
When was the last WHITE COP shooting a white guy incident you heard about?
How about WHITE COP shooting a black man? Yesterday?
The statistics are higher because of those reasons.
Just ride through your neighborhood. Locate the first pulled over by the cops. I bet that person is either black or hispanic.
WHY??? WHY??? WHY???
It's really annoying!

No matter where we are. People will always aim at the BLACK + HISPANIC. But...BLACKS where slaves remember? So the finger pointing is at the black man before anyone!!!
NOW...gangs...everyone commits crimes. EVERYONE! When I look in the news the mass shootings are done by WHITES! The serial rapings, killings! Jeffrey Dahmer, Manson, Tim McVeigh, etc.
Seriously now! Not matter where in this world, again, the black man will always have this problem!!!
Every race will always look at BLACKS with the bad eye because of what the NEWS, TELEVISION etc shows.
I know that everyone is equally bad. A criminal will be a criminal regardless of the color!
IRAQ has a murder rate of 18000 a year and there are no blacks there.
It's really sad. Now...these zip code gangs, I don't know about that. But they are not all BLACKS!!! There are many EDUCATED blacks that aren't committing crime whether you believe it or not. Every black isn't bad!

1. These statistics are done by the same people that show this NONSENSE on TV.
It's ironic that I only joined so I can post this discusssion and saw it here.

Now you believe these statistics. This is absolutely sad!
I know all races commit crimes.
You mean to tell me that there isn't one WHITE person committing crime? Your statistics have to be way off.
It's a vicious cycle.
This type of stuff is posted on TV. Therefore, people will say BLACKS + HISPANICS are animals. Now...we, as usual, get racially profiled, falsely accused (as in previous cases in where women blamed black men for kidnapping their kids, etc.)
THIS IS A SAD, COLD WORLD!!!
Blacks don't commit that many crimes. If the statistic show that, it's because WHITES are behind the numbers!
Im not taking up for blacks, hispanics, etc. Just fairness.
If I saw only whites, I would same the same. Are there no blacks? Asians? etc.?
Come on now! This is not coincidental. The whites beind the numbers want the blacks and hispanics to look like criminals!

Regarding this topic about always showing black people committing the violent crimes. If there was ever a similar show here in England, it would be the same case im afraid.
It's full of black teenage gangs who would stab or shoot you for just looking at them wrong. The lastest craze seems to be postcode (zip code) gangs, where if you just walk into the wrong street you get attacked. The majority of violence and crime in the big cities are by black youths.
Is that just a coincindence?

Well, if it's any consolation.......serial killers are almost never black. Statistics show that that they are white.
I believe the numbers are what they are because of the population statistics. More of the communities that they are in are predominately made up of black and Hispanic. They are usually in lower socio economic regions as well. Sad fact but true.

In cities like Detroit and Memphis, I expect to see more black people involved in crimes because they make up a fairly large portion of the population. The latest figure I could find for Memphis is 2006 and it estimates that almost 2/3 of the Memphis population is black. According to the 2000 census, blacks make up 80% of Detroit's population. You see more hispanic victims/perps in Miami and more white victims/perps Minneapolis because more people of those races live there. It's simple statistics/probability really.

The crime rate for young black men(13-18 years old) in Houston, Texas has risen by 139%. Just heard that in the news very recently. Sorry...but you need to face the facts. In some areas....blacks commit more crimes of all types.

They've shown white, Asian, black, latino, gay and straight cases on the show. Hell, the last episode was a white guy and one of the most stupid killers was a white girl who wasn't even a suspect when she confessed, expecting to get off.

why the $#@%! does every case shown involve black or hispanic people murdering each other......white people kill each other too but they never show those cases and this just makes people think blacks and latinos are the only ones commiting murder. its not fair and i wish they would show some cases involving white people too.
