I have seen several times on A&E that there will a new episode next Tuesday. It looks like Dallas will be featured.

On one of those "After-the-First-48" episodes, I saw where Jason Schecterle is now retired. He evidently only worked in the homicide division in Phoenix on the one case and I presume he medically retired (they mentioned he had since retired after the one homicide case he worked). I hope he will be okay. I would think he may still have to face more plastic surgeries in the years ahead. He was so happy they'd solved the case and convicted the criminal in the case he worked; he even had a mug shut of the criminal near his computer. He was one proud detective! I hope Jason's comfort improves with the passage of time and that he and his family are doing fine.

I think once new episodes start and there will be new things to discuss. I think last night there was a new After the First 48. That was interesting and nice to know that the people who committed the crimes are behind bars. Although the victim's families are forever changed and they will always have pain of the loved one they lost.

A&E has several new shows in production. I wonder if those are causing The First 48 to be put on the back burner? I read that they were filming in Birmingham. I saw just this week that Birmingham is in the top 10 most dangerous cities in America (#8).

I don't think it has anything to do with any particular person driving people off the board; I think it has to do with lack of new cases and shows to discuss! Many of the other boards here are active all the time and some of them have posters who are pretty caustic on a regular basis, yet the board stays lively, so I truly don't believe it's any particular poster so much as nothing exciting or new to discuss involving First 48.

Yeah, things have definitely been stagnant on the F48 board. I'm sure there's a new season...somewhere...sometime....A&E has current contracts running, at least from what one of the Miami detectives told us (he mentioned they worked out the contractual issues and agreed to press forward). And from reading the online cities' newspapers, I can see the homicides are sure there for the filming. I guess all the finesse and fine-tuning can delay shows for months on end.

I adore The First 48 but I never see any new shows anymore. I tune in every Tuesday but nothing new! Will there be any new shows or are they done?:O
