I really liked that episode. I recently saw that episode. I feel very bad for the young couple that was savagely murdered. I believe the father had something to do with the murder, but then again maybe he didn't. Maybe he knew his son (the uncle) killed the couple and didn't say anything. Maybe he felt so bad that he comitted suicide after killing his son. I am probably wrong. I am just assuming that part. The young couple didn't deserve to die and it doesn't matter what they did or did not do. Both cases had a lot of twists and turns in it. I wouldn't of thought that the guy was defending himself at first. His other friends were charged with murder, I guess they didn't see that coming. What do you except? DUH!! Keep it coming A&E!

I'm not sure if anyone is still posting on this particular episode, but Stephanie Smith was one of my closest friends. We met at Horseshoe and got really close. I knew her husband well too. They were at my house the wednesday night that they were last seen and it kills me that i didn't hug her bye. I can assure you she was not cheating with her husband's uncle. I know this for a fact. I, just like the rest of you, have no idea what the motives were and my opinions on it are better left in my head. Everyday I think about what her last thought was, what she must have been thinking about when she was going to the bank that day and he was in the car with her. There is much much more to this story than could fit into the 20 minute show. I'm not at liberty to share all the details but I did want to say for the record that she was NOT having an affair with him.

I love this show!! It is so nice to see the real work being done and not how tv depicts it. People have a false sense of the way things are investigated by watching all those other crime shows. I would like to see more of the workings on the crime scenes also. If they would only do one crime per show, we could get more detail and it could also stretch the season out longer so we wouldnt have so many reruns later on. Hope this stays around for a long time. It is very interesting!!!

This show is amazing! I'd really like to see each a change though! I think they should do one episode per show. There are so many more details I'd like to see. They should just follow one case per show and give more info!!

But even in the short time they have to cover each case, the show is awesome!

I really look forward to seeing the new episodes every Thursday. The Family Secrets episode was really wild. For a family member to go to that extent to kill and then hide the bodies. And then to commit suicide. And in the clipped episode...I was a little confused. What was that all about???:|

What were some of the rumors at to the motives of the Mosleys in the "Family Secrets" episode? Could someone please give more information on the case?

I have seen almost all episodes of The First 48 and this is definitely one of my favorites? Up there with Houdini (I still can't believe they could never figure out how dude got out of the gas station) and the killer calls episode in my book.

I agree about the father being a suspect. He had to have been involved to committ the murder-suicide. I keep thinking that maybe both the father and the son were involved, as it would have been hard for one person to kill them both. Also, the killer(s) obviously forced the wife to withdraw $5,000, so I wonder where was the husband during this. Maybe the father was holding him hostage. Maybe she was having an affair, although I doubt it. The affair wouldn't explain why she needed to withdraw $5,000 (a pretty decent chunk of cash to have sitting in the bank by the way). I guess we really will never know. And then there's the drugs. It seems a little hard to believe that Larry had a huge drug problem since it sounded like he was a very good employee: never late, 3 raises in 9 months, etc. I am obviously just speculating so I could definitely be wrong on all this. Another thing, it was pretty stupid to not dispose of the body for a whole week, and really stupid to have all the bags and weights in the back of the pickup truck (especially considering how much effort Larry had to have put into cleaning up the crime scene in his house). I wonder why Larry was seen in the passenger seat of his pickup truck parked 10 houses down the street. Weird.

The Clipped episode was pretty good too. Nice confession by the defendant Carmona. He probably thought that the shooter would be the one arrested for murder. Little did he know that by participating in a felony that resulted in a death, he and the Dominicano dude would be the ones who got arrested for felony murder, and the shooter would get off on self-defense. He maybe could have denied knowing that his two friends intended to kill the guy. Again, pure speculation. Nice police work to get all the people involved to tell the truth.

I watch this show every Thurs., and couldn't wait to see this episode that aired on the 11th. It was awesome ! My Thursday nights are devoted to The First 48, I love how , in the end , they (90%) always figure out who did it & the person responsible for doing the cimes. A detectives job is not easy , and they put thier lives on the line to find the person responsible for the crimes that they have commited. ----Aimee from Florida------

What can I say "Family Secret" was awesome. You can only imagine what happened. Someone in that family knows what was going on and why things possibly ended that way. I can say that this story consists of sex, money murder and drugs the possibilities are endless.

You have a one hour show divided between two story lines plus commercials. Leaves about 20-25 minutes to air a story. There was alot more investigation done on this case than was shown to reach the conclusions that were reached in this case.
