Ship,

I am here with the express interest of trying to convince A&E that the market place for Hornblower is greater than than that for Dog, Gotti or even Rollergirls. Heck, I watched almost nothing but Hornblower DVDs during the Olympics. (Well, I did watch a few shows, like Grey's Anatomy.)

If we in North America do not fight back by showing continued support for Hornblower, then A&E has no reason to bring it back, IMHO.

Poof my posts if you want, but I'll keep asking the question: Where's my Hornblower?

Sad, isn't it?

To think of all the wonderful things that happened because of the bonds created in these boards makes me very sad indeed. Even though I am able to post still, I will not be signing on the A&E Club. A&E could have hundreds of new posters join the HH discussions and still they would not change their minds about more movies. It is just not the image they are after, no more classy entertainment. Too bad. :(

Oh Poll - say it ain't so! I actually quite like the feeling now. I've gone through the feeling sad bit and have said my goodbyes and now enjoy the adventure of "Will I or will I not be able to log in?" every time I visit here. Knowing I have a safe berth at Horatians with the common crew *hugs them all* is the key, of course. This is a bit like rowing ashore with Cotard *swoons* knowing we can dash back to the mothership at the first sign of trouble.

:)

You lured me onto these boards, PTP, with a tempting mention of a 'hobbit-diddling' thread. A lot of water's passed under the bridge since then, and a lot of hobbits have been diddled!! I've met some great people, and joined in threads with loads of others I'll probably never meet, and it's been fun.

I'm going to make this my last post here, I think - it's just too unnerving to keep popping in to see if I've been cast adrift in an open boat yet! So, Sail Ho - I do believe it's the good ship Horatians!

Hear! Hear! :)

(But here's hoping that it isn't your last post, PTP! Long live the old logins!)

You're the bravest poster I know, Ptp. :)

Yes. Thanks to everyone who's made these boards such fun. Fun I enjoyed for ages as a lurker and then for the past couple of years as a poster.

A toast to the friendships we've made, the laughs and tears we share and, in those time-honoured words, to

A wind that blows,

A ship that goes,

And the lass that loved a sailor. :)

This may the last post I ever make on the dear old A&E Boards...

Just wanted to do it, one last time...
