Well, I am from Texas and I love Southwest! And I hope I never have to fly another airline. I have never, not once had any single problem with anyone connected to SWA. I think they are a top notch company.
I don't wish to hurt anyone's feelings, but planes are not the roomiest places to be. If a person is of a size where they need two seats, they might think about loosing weight. Not just for the sake of other passengers...but their own.
Last summer I sat next to a guy that should have had to buy an extra seat ticket...cause he sure invaded MY space! And I was not totally comfortable during my trip. People need to think of others, not just themselves.

I am a travel agent and wish every airline would do this practice. It is much safer for the passengers traveling and if one person is overweight they chose to do nothing about it, while the other passenger deserves their own seat. i do happen to know that ALL airlines are going to be adapting this policy VERY soon.

Maybe lose some weight? I've had to sit next to overwieght people. Quite honestly, I pay for every square cm of space and I expect to use it. I don't like sharing my seat with others.

Sorry, I can't support your particular brand of whine.

SWA Discrimination

:(
First I am surprised that SWA is the featured airline in the show. I have had several bad experiences with them. Because I am a woman of size, I am forced to buy 2 seats. I do this in advance of traveling. When I check in, they are always clueless as to why I have 2 tickets for my self. Then while in line some attendant always comes over and tells me I need to purchase another seat. I have to show them my tickets to prove I already did. They even do this when I am traveling with my young daughter. She was small and the 2 of us never occupied 3 seats!

One time in security, the thing kept beeping. They gave my 4 year old daughter her ticket and tried to send her down to the gate. I said she had to stay with me. Anyway, they used a wand and stuck it so far between my legs that I felt like I was being raped! It turned out I had my daughter's battery powered necklace in my pocket.
Poll
Should airlines give vouchers for weather delays?
I would like to find this out because of the last episode of Airline I saw.
