I initially watched this because it was directed by Stuart Orme, who is a good television director, but I was not sure if I would like it. I ended up liking it very much.

This adaptation of The Lost World has a contemporary message that is not faitful to the 19th century spirit of original novel. Nonetheless, it was a quality mini-series with a refreshingly well written script, solid characters and believable special effects. Kudos to A&E.
