I find it hilarious that A&E came to Canada to make this movie. Just shows you how un-liberal the states can be. This movie was made in Nova Scotia, Canada. I knew it looked familiar, but there's a scene on Granville Street in Halifax I recognized.

Another Canadian Perspective

Congrat's to John Stamos and all the cast & crew of the Wedding Wars movie. While maintaining a sense of comedic relief on a serious issue, his performance was refreshingly authentic and non-stereotypical, which I certainly appreciated as a gay man. Gay marriage has been legal in Canada for some time now, and when they put it to a vote in parliament again this past week, it was upheld by an even greater margin of votes than the last time. Yet still, our Country (and civilization as we know it) has not fallen. It truly troubles me as a Christian to see other Christians hammering people over the head with scripture. At the chance of being a hypocrite, let me just say "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". It is time that we realize as a people of this planet how precious and fragile life is. Why does it take a natural or wo/man made disaster to unite us? And Isn't that the theme of the movie? When human rights are not respected, we all...Canadian, American, African, etc. lose a piece of our humanity. Let me just say this (at the chance of really igniting a debate here). Not so long ago, African American slaves crossed the border into Canada to be free from their oppression (and their oppressors). The irony has not been lost on me that the American LGBT community are now doing the same (crossing the border to marry/be who God has made them). I am more proud today than ever to be Canadian, Thanks for the opportunity to say my piece.

God Bless America and Canada (Gays, Straights, Blacks, Whites, Hispanics and everyone else i may have forgotten to mention here :)
